Pillows in the middle of the night

Mama..the pillows get up in the middle of the night. They say, "whatcha doin?" They have little feet that pop out and they run and run. They run around and play with trucks and then they come back to bed!

Going Hiking with Dada

Yesterday, when you were driving up the hill towards the trailhead with Dada, his ears started to feel pressure and then popped. He asked you if your ears felt funny. Evan replied, "Yeah my ears feel funny, like when I'm on the airplane."

The connections he now makes are amazing

New Sayings

E has been amazing with his commnication. He seems to excel with speech. He just gets it. He will say things and put together phrases that I have no idea how he understands the connections. Lately, I have found joy in a few new phrases and I don't want to forget them.

"Mama, Isn't that amazing? That's amazing. Amazing Momma?"

"What about that? Momma, what about that?!"

" I have an idea! Momma, I have an idea".

B.I.B.

Baby is boss. That is our moto. Our lives have definitely changed since our little man has arrived. We start out watching a movie and don't even get 10 minutes into it and we put it on pause to attend to baby. We start making dinner and 7pm and don't get to eat it until just before 10pm. What in the past would take 10 minutes now takes hours.

When we are in one of these scenarios, Steven or I will look at the other and say a gentle reminder: "Baby is boss".

Simplicity

It is truly a gift to be simple. This means being uncomplicated. Simplicity means coming to the least common denominator of self. As we grow, we literally put on layers of behaviors, attitudes, and styles which we present to the world. They hide our insecurities, fears, and inhibitions. In our age, the acquisition of commodities replaces the building of forts, castles, and fortresses behind which we can hide. Simplicity involves removing as many of these things as possible in order to be seen just as we are. Mostly, it allows us to see ourselves. - Author unknown
