The 44th President

Barack Obama was elected the next president of the United States today. For the first time in a long time there is a new hope for our country's direction.

We watched the acceptance speech while Evan was sound asleep in bed. Obama gave a good speech. As always it was one from his heart. I think the whole world felt a sense of relief. I know I did.

"This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time -- to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth -- that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:"

2008 Summer Olympics

Evan-You are just eight months old and the Summer Olympic games in Beijing has been in full swing.

I have loved watching it. The gymnastics are always amazing but this year we have gotten into it all. We have loved watching the swimming (Michael Phelps), Track and Field (Usain Bolt) and diving (Matthew Mitcham).

I am watching the closing ceremony right now. The flame just went out.

Time Capsule

Daddy is famous. Well-almost! He was chosen to be the "look" of Apple's one to one marketing campaign. We have friends and family all over the country going to their neighborhood Apple store to take a picture of themselves with "Steven".

This is Steven in Australia.

This is Steven in Dallas, TX. Who are these two smiling people?

Not only did they use his image in the store garphics but also on mass email.
