Dear Evan-Two Months Old

Dear Evan,

Happy Birthday!

This month has gone by so fast. You are getting bigger everyday. You are heavier now when I lift you up to my shoulder to burp you. You also like to turn your head and look at me when I am trying to burp you. You sometimes get annoyed and softly cry and move a lot as to tell me you don't need to burp and only wish to eat more.

You have found your tongue and like to stick it out a lot. You continue to amaze me with all of your new talking noises and coos.

Our days are still pretty simple. We take walks to get out each day. We wake up slowly each morning because I know life will eventually require for you to get up fast. No need for that now. We just take it easy.

You now fit into some of the 0-3 month old clothes. Our favorite is a brown and white striped onsie. It has snaps down the front. It is a perfect piece of clothing for this time of year as it is cooler and we need your legs and arms to be covered.

We still do tummy time. You don't like it very much. You struggle with lifting your head and using your elbows in order to lift it. I don't stop encouraging you. As soon as you get frustrated we flip you back over. That is how I noticed that you have started to pout. That bottom lip sticks out and it is all over for me!

We are going to bed at around 11pm and then you require one feeding in the night between 3am and 4am. You then will usually sleep until 6 or 7 am when Daddy goes to work.
